Dacia Design Studio is participating in Romanian Design Week 2025 with the exhibition “Essential by design”, showcasing creativity and innovation in Romanian automotive design. The exhibition presents a unique vision of contemporary mobility, focusing on essentials, sustainability, and functionality. Visitors will discover design concepts that blend modern aesthetics with automotive heritage, highlighting Dacia's commitment to redefining design standards and inspiring the future of the automotive industry—a compelling dialogue between art and technology.
The Dacia Design Center (DDC) is the only design center in Central and Eastern Europe integrated into the Renault Group’s global design network. DDC also carries out design quality and surface development activities, including Class-A surfaces. More than 35 employees from four different nationalities work here, and its mission is to become the showcase for Dacia's design strategy.
The Design Studio includes a workshop capable of producing up to four full-scale physical models, as well as two large presentation rooms, and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. It also features a dedicated paint booth and a specialized area for virtual reality (VR) visualization.
In the development phase of a project—whether it’s a future vehicle, a new range, or a facelift of an existing model—the Dacia Design team creates numerous sketches. These are transformed into digital forms by 3D modelers, and the resulting designs are visualized through advanced digital processing.
The “Essential by design” exhibition is part of the RDW Exhibitions format, presented by Rompetrol and co-produced by the Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB.
For over 20 years, Rompetrol has been supporting education and culture through initiatives that generate real impact in local communities. At Romanian Design Week 2025, the company joins the RDW Exhibitions format, which places collaboration and the support of local creativity at its core.
